Declan M. McLoughlin is a Research Professor of Psychiatry at the Trinity Institute of Neurosciences (TCIN) in Trinity College Dublin.
He has conducted a number of studies including randomised controlled trials of ECT and ketamine in severe depression as well as systematic reviews and meta-analyses on topics like molecular biomarkers (e.g. mRNA, miRNA, telomere length) for depression and the molecular mechanisms of action of ECT.
